The Bloom Intensive: A 4-Week Birth Strategy Series

Essential Evidence. Christ-Centered Peace. Tactical Preparation.

Short on time but refuse to settle for a "standard" birth? The Bloom Intensive is a high-impact, 4-week journey designed to sift through the noise and equip you with the essential tools to lead your birth team with authority. Move from "overwhelmed" to "overflowing with peace" in just one month.

What to Expect: The Bloom Intensive

Four Weeks of High-Impact Preparation

A Fast-Paced, Focused Atmosphere

The Intensive is designed for the couple who wants to move quickly without sacrificing spiritual depth. We trade the "slow-burn" of a traditional class for a dynamic, workshop-style environment. Expect to hit the ground running with practical tools from the moment you walk through the door.

Skill-Heavy Sessions

Because we have four weeks instead of eight, our time together is heavily focused on physical mastery. You can expect:

  • "Double-Down" Training: We combine several Eli Taylor steps into hands-on drills.

  • Positioning Boot Camp: Rapid-fire practice with Spinning Babies® essentials, birth balls, and peanut balls.

  • Simulated Advocacy: Role-playing real-world hospital scenarios so your "Sanctuary Time" feels like second nature.

The "Blueprint Lite" Tactical Folder

You don’t have time for fluff. In Class 1, you’ll receive the Condensed Bloom Blueprint. This isn't just a manual; it’s a "Birth Bag" essential. It contains:

  • The "CEO" Decision Cards: Pocket-sized BRAIN framework guides for quick advocacy.

  • The Hero’s Cheat Sheet: High-speed reminders for counter-pressure and scripture prompts.

  • The 4-Week Sift: Targeted worksheets to clear your biggest mental hurdles fast.

Class 1: Rooted in Confidence (Foundations & Mindset)

The Blueprint of Your Body & The Power of Your Mind

  • Before we talk about bags or birth plans, we must understand the design. In Class 1, we move away from the "medical mystery" of labor and look at the original architecture of the female body. You will leave this session not just knowing what is happening, but trusting why it’s happening.

    In this session, we explore:

    • The Hormonal Symphony: Learn to master the "Hormones of Peace." We’ll identify how to invite Oxytocin (the hormone of love and labor) into your birth space while sifting out the Adrenaline that stalls progress.

    • The Physiology of Birth: We deconstruct the "Fear-Tension-Pain" cycle. You’ll learn the mechanics of your uterine muscles and how your thoughts directly influence your body’s ability to open.

    • The Pelvis: A Moving Gateway: Forget what you’ve heard about the pelvis being a "fixed ring." We look at the pelvis as a dynamic, shifting gateway, teaching you how to use movement and the hormone Relaxin to create an easier path for your baby.

    • The Release Mindset: We introduce the "Palms Up" philosophy. Learn the "Low and Slow" relaxation techniques and the Breath of Life—the foundational tools that will anchor you through every surge.

The Goal: To shift your perspective of birth from a "hospital event" to a divine threshold, grounded in physiological evidence and Christ-centered confidence.

Class 2: The Path to Opening

Preparation, Positioning, & The Art of Comfort

Labor is active, and your preparation should be, too. In Class 2, we move from the theory of the blueprint to the practice of the birth room. We bridge the gap between "what if" and "I can," giving you a tactile roadmap for the journey from the first surge to the final push.

In this session, we explore:

  • The Anatomy of the Journey: We break down the stages of labor—Early, Active, and Transition—so you know exactly where you are and when it’s time to move to your birth sanctuary.

  • Optimal Positioning & Range of Motion: We utilize Spinning Babies® concepts to understand how your baby’s position (OA vs. OP) influences your labor. Learn several daily range of motion exercises to soften ligaments and shorten the "long, slow" early phase.

  • The Comfort Toolbox: Master different comfort measures such as hydrotherapy and hip squeezes

  • Navigating Pain Relief: A balanced, evidence-based look at both pharmacological options (like epidurals) and natural comfort measures. We discuss the "middle ground" and how to use tools without losing your labor's momentum.

  • Protecting the Body: We sift through the evidence on how to avoid tearing during birth, focusing on maternal-led pushing, gravity-fed positions, and the "low and slow" release of the pelvic floor.

  • Identifying Dystocia: Learn how to identify and "shift" a stalled labor by changing the internal architecture of the pelvis through movement.

The Goal: To transform you into a confident participant in your birth and your partner into a Birth Hero who knows exactly where to place their hands and their heart.

Class 3: Navigating the Detours & Beyond

Informed Advocacy & Your First Steps into Parenthood

Birth can take turns we don’t expect, and the first few months of parenthood can feel like a new world. In Class 3, we equip you with the "CEO Mindset" to lead your birth team with authority and the practical foundations to welcome your baby home with confidence.

In this session, we explore:

  • The Power of Informed Consent: We introduce the BRAIN Framework, a tactical decision-making tool. Learn how to sift through medical suggestions for inductions and interventions to ensure every choice aligns with your "Birth Blueprint."

  • Navigating Birth Interventions: We strip away the fear of "Plan B." From IVs to epidurals, we discuss what to expect, why they are used, and how to maintain your "Birth Sanctuary" even when the medical path shifts.

  • The "Golden Hour" & Initial Arrival: Discover the sacred biology of the first 60 minutes. We discuss what really happens when baby arrives—from delayed cord clamping to the "Breast Crawl"—and how to protect that initial bond.

  • Newborn Basics & The "Essential" Sift: Don't get overwhelmed by the baby industry. We cover the true "must-have" items for your nest and the basics of newborn care, including diapering, cord care, and reading baby's "silent" cues before they cry.

  • The First Six Months: We look ahead at the rhythmic shift of the first half-year. Learn about infant sleep foundations, developmental "blooms," and how to maintain your identity as a woman and a couple as you grow into your roles as parents.

The Goal: To ensure you never lose your voice in the birth room and that you leave with a "Peace of Mind" plan for the practical journey of the months to come.

Class 4: The After-Bloom

The Sacred Recovery & The Fourth Trimester

The birth of your baby is also the birth of a mother. In our final session, we move the "Birth Sanctuary" from the hospital room to your home. We focus on the "Sacred Recovery," ensuring you are physically supported, emotionally anchored, and biologically confident as you begin the journey of breastfeeding and newborn safety.

In this session, we explore:

  • Breastfeeding Foundations: We move past the myths to the "Biology of Supply." Learn the Newman Approach for a pain-free latch, how to read your baby’s hunger cues, and how your partner can become an essential protector of the breastfeeding bond.

  • Maternal Physical Recovery: Your body has performed a miracle; now it needs a sanctuary. We map out the "5-5-5" rule for healing, pelvic floor health, and the practical "Nest" essentials for your first forty days.

  • The Emotional Sift (PMADs): We have an honest, grace-filled conversation about maternal wellness. Learn to distinguish between the "Baby Blues" and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), and create a "Safety Net" of support for your mental health.

  • Infant Safety & Confidence: We bridge the gap between intuition and instruction. You’ll leave with the foundations of Infant CPR and Choking prevention, safe sleep standards, and the "5 S’s" of soothing an unsettled newborn.

  • The Bloom Graduation: We conclude our series by sifting through your final "what-ifs" and shifting into a final prayer of blessing over your family as you prepare to cross the threshold into parenthood.

The Goal: To ensure you don’t just survive the postpartum period, but that you bloom within it—feeling safe, nourished, and deeply connected to your baby and your partner.
